The word “Awen” is an ancient concept (historically a Welsh / Cornish / Breton word) generally taken to mean a poetic energy or a muse’s inspiration.
The 3 pronged image is a fairly recently created representation (more than likely by Iolo Morganwg) of this energy and embraces the trinity associated with many orders and religions. Think “earth, sea and air” / “body, mind and spirit” / “love, wisdom and truth”.
